Access
We welcome visits from anyone who would like to fish the moat (individuals, groups, families and organisations) and there are a number of ways in which you can access fishing as an activity:

Experienced Anglers
If you are an experienced angler and would like to fish independently, you can book to fish anytime during the week from 9am to 4.30pm or some weekends during the summer months. You are welcome to use your own fishing tackle, but you must use our landing nets. If you don't have your own fishing tackle you can hire one of our whips. In the interests of the welfare of the fish we do not use keep nets at the moat. Please contact us to book your fishing peg.

Less Experienced Anglers
If you would like to fish but are a less experienced angler why not pre-book a session with one of our licensed qualified angling coaches? Angling coaches can work with a maximum of four people per session. Booking an angling coach ensures you and your group are fishing safely, adds to the enjoyment and success of the day and maximises learning outcomes. To discuss your requirements and the costs involved please contact us.

Novice Anglers
Novice anglers wanting to learn to fish with family, friends or carers can access our coached angling sessions which run regularly throughout the school holidays. During these sessions qualified coaches are on hand to help young, novice or inexperienced anglers to have a go at fishing, learning skills such as baiting a hook, casting a line and landing and unhooking a fish. Please contact us to pre-book your place on one of these sessions.

Groups
You can book for a group to come fishing during the week and we can organise an angling coach to work with your group. You also have the option of booking the whole of the Albrighton Moat and Gardens for your own exclusive use, including your own dedicated angling coach. For more details and to discuss your requirements please contact us.

All our coaches are licensed with the sport NGB (National Governing Body) and along with all our staff are fully DBS checked.
