The architecturally designed purpose built award winning fully accessible Resource and Training Centre has a good sized meeting room, accommodates 40 people and is well equipped for Power Point presentations with television and video facilities and is used for Art, Crafts and Music sessions.
There is also a modern, well equipped kitchen and both male and female toilets fully designed for disabled usage including a body hoist and changing table completing our personal care facilities.
The Moat is well-stocked with varieties of native fish and is approached from seven wheelchair accessible jetties, with tackle available for hire. Small group coaching sessions can be arranged with qualified coaches in conjunction with the Environmental Agency.

Students of horticulture work in the large greenhouse under the tutelage of the Gardens Manager to a programme of modules which cover a wide range of topics. Completion of these modules earns students a certificate of completion to authenticate their work. Students value their experience in the gardens as much for their personal enjoyment as for the skills and knowledge that they acquire. Many students, particularly the younger ones and the ones with more complex disabilities, relish the opportunity to become ‘hands-on’ and see the benefits of their own personal efforts come to fruition.....Read More
The putting green is set in a quiet corner of the grounds and is, together with the equipment, available to visitors for a small charge. The well laid out course offers a gentle challenge to those for whom a Golf Course might be too daunting a prospect.
There is also the opportunity to try skittles, croquet or boules in good weather or explore the nature trail to spot the wildlife and native plants.
Group sessions for art & craft classes are taken by qualified teachers from a local college and some very interesting pieces are produced. Many participants say how therapeutic the classes are with inspiration taken from the gardens and the water outside the windows.....Read More
