Foster a Fish

Fostering a fish with the Albrighton Moat and Gardens is very easy. All you have to do is to let us know what you want to call your fish and who will be fostering it. By fostering a fish you are contributing and helping our charity which is dedicated to preserving the environment and the natural wildlife of The Albrighton Moat and Gardens.

With your help not only will you be helping to Foster a Fish, but also helping with the upkeep of a wonderful natural environment specifically designed for people with disabilities.

You will be contributing to and helping a charity which is dedicated to preserving the environment and the natural wildlife.

The Albrighton Moat Project is a secluded 13th Century moat which has been restored to its former natural beauty.  It has been designed specifically to meet the needs of many hundreds of people who are often isolated in our community because of physical, mental or sensory impairment.  The “Sensory Garden” has an abundance of fragrant and tactile plants and the water features provide interest for those visitors who are blind or visually impaired.  Our specially designed platforms, alongside the moat, mean we are able to offer angling for those visitors with severe disabilities who wish to participate on equal terms.

We have been careful to create excellent conditions suitable for many fish from habitats all around the world.  We have clear, well oxygenated water, at varaied depths and with adequate shelter and shade.
